I wonder.
Yes, I wonder. My friends think that when I wonder, I’m childish.
I told them once that whenever that I ride the train and look at all those people with me, coincidentally riding the same train at the same time with me, I think how wonderful it is for this “coincidence” to happen. It feels so wonderful to realize that you are a part of the larger world. That these entire people are converged in one single place with only a single purpose in mind.
And you know what my friends told me?
"You're so silly, while I think of how late the train is you are thinking of simple things. Childish ka talaga!"
Hehe..
Childish ba ako?
What is wrong with the sense of WONDER?

Terry's blog, February 21, 2006 post
I dropped by Terry's blog just a while ago and browsed through her old posts [I think she rarely has the time to update her blog. =)] and found this particular post.
And something [or someone] inside me laughed at the thought that someone I know is just like me. Remember my very first LRT ride? [Just see the archives last May if you haven't read it.] I was astonished by the number of people there, you see, I'm a homebody so I don't usually go out and see the world. The people in the mall, of course, is a different thing. I mean, augh, it's hard to explain. Maybe it's that "coincidence" Terry is trying to say.
Her friends tell her she's childish and silly. But I think that Terry has no problem. Her friends are just worldly people who focus on the quick passing of time and the necessity of hurrying to catch up with time. Terry tries to unwind, to slow down a bit and think of things. That would be better than fretting about the late train because fussing about it won't do anything. It's not actually productive. What's more, fussing can add stress, right? Terry simply takes the time off - there's no time to waste actually.
And I suddently remembered, gawds. Time is actually running past me. And yes, I think I need to catch up. To. Do. That. Horrid. Draft.
Just dropped an opinion here. I gotta go, dearies. Hello Terry if you happen to read. Thanks for the inspiration, if you don't mind me posting your post here. =)
